Here at Potters of Buxton, we are always on the look-out for brands to add to our women’s collections. Over the years we’ve become attuned to what our customers look for - quality, timeless style and often, something a bit special that gives you a little buzz of excitement when shopping. So we'd like to delve into a brand that does just that. Introducing YERSEa Spanish family business founded in 1964. Originally with a focus on knitwear, the brands founder Generó Domènech vision was that a brand should exude a sense of fashion and quality above all else. The designs in the YERSE collection are simple, yet they often have a small piece of detailing, whether it be a button, a ruffle or embroidery, that elevates the piece.

The designs are developed in-house, by a largely female team who are acutely sensitive in knowing how, when and where to place each thread so that their clothes accentuate the femininity of the woman who wears them. Yet all of this is not achieved at the expense of comfort. The team at YERSE know that these clothes must not only look and feel beautiful, but function and endure. Through a deep understanding of material and craft they ensure their pieces tick both boxes.

It could be argued that lots of brands deliver beautiful designs that are comfortable to wear. So, what’s the ‘special’ bit that makes YERSE stand out and makes you feel that ‘buzz’ when buying their clothes? Well, in their case its arguably their unwavering commitment to slow fashion that is actively practiced through every touchpoint of their process. Here’s a rundown of the numerous ways in which they deliver sustainable, ethical, fashion:

  • RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS

More than 80% of their collections are made with fibres of natural origin and 28% with organic materials. Each season they continue to expand on this by introducing new environmentally friendly materials.

  • EXPERT SUPPLIERS

They prioritise working with family businesses with artisan experience and have continued to work with small local ateliers since 1964.

  • DIGITAL PRINTS

To reduce their carbon footprint by 40% (compared to traditional printing), all of YERSE’s prints are made with digital printing. This uses 80% less water than traditional printing and avoids using excess fabric

  • SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

YERSE’s packaging (bags, labels, tapes, boxes and wrapping papers) is made from recycled or biodegradable materials. They also recycle all cardboard and plastic ensuring they contribute back to a sustainable circular economy.

It's this blend of sustainable and beautiful yet wearable designs that makes YERSE a brand that our customers love to shop. We hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about YERSE, do have a browse at their full collection either online or in-store.

If you have any questions, we are here to help whether it be by phone, email or in-store. For further peace of mind, we offer free returns on all UK orders.
