We love the simplicity of Danish style, so we're always excited to add Masai's new collections to our womenswear range. Founded by siblings in 1992, the location of Masai's headquarters in the historic part of Copenhagen is central to its whole ethos. This is a part of the city that has always celebrated travel and an international outlook. Surrounding Masai’s headquarters are streets full of life and creativity as shops and restaurants draw inspiration from Copenhagen and the influx of international influences they see.

It’s not only the direct creative influences and values of old town Copenhagen Masai brings to their designs but also more broadly speaking, Danish design. Danish design is of course renowned for combining a sense of elegance with wearability and the team at Potters of Buxton fell in love with the crisp, elegant simplicity that can be found in Masai’s tops, coats/jackets, knitwear and trousers

Masai are highly committed to sustainable fashion and, amazingly, they're the first fashion brand in the world to be FSC-certified (FSC® C152037). They care deeply about the world's forests and climate, and with their FSC-certification they can now know that the wood fibres that they use in their viscose come from sustainable forests and other controlled sources.

For us though, the flashes of artistic flair we see within their collections make Masai special. Many of their pieces are simple and pared back with the main focus on the cut, but some, such as their dresses, draw on artistic influences to create a blend of print and fabric that offers you a piece that both feels and looks beautiful. It is perhaps no wonder then that Masai declare themselves as creators of Timeless Creativity’ for inspiring women everywhere

We hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about Masai, do have a browse at their full collections either online or in-store.
